    The intertwining lives of various characters from different eras come across as complex but because of its splendid writing, one can easily connect, relate and understand. I cannot wait for Khaled Hosseini's next novel.

    An over ambitious stab in the dark. Midway through the book I could have stopped reading and not cared about the ending. The book seems to go in random direction through characters who aren't developed enough for me to care. There are fleeting passages which captivate you. Apart from that this was terrible.

    It intrigued me to read this book for the sake of knowledge for the Afghan faith and culture. I had found the other two books more appealing because they were all about Afghans, which was more like voice for the voiceless/oppressed. For me, this book was like any other book you pick up from the shelf. Overall, though, the story-telling yet again was magnificent.
